The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is set to make a significant impact at the Republic Day Parade on 26th January in New Delhi.
This year, MNRE will host 800 special guests nationwide, including PM Surya Ghar Yojana beneficiaries, PM KUSUM Scheme, and renewable energy workers. These individuals represent the success stories of India’s renewable energy journey.
The parade’s highlight will be MNRE’s vibrant tableau, showcasing India’s progress in renewable energy. The tableau will focus on initiatives like the PM Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the world’s largest residential rooftop solar program, and advancements in green hydrogen technology. It also celebrates India’s achievement as the fourth-largest installer of wind energy globally.
This initiative reflects India’s leadership in transitioning to a sustainable energy country under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. MNRE’s programs empower citizens, create millions of green jobs, and promote domestic manufacturing in the renewable energy sector.
The special guests will meet Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi, MNRE Secretary Ms. Nidhi Khare, and other officials during their visit. They will also visit the PM Sangrahalaya and the National War Memorial, adding to their experience.
MNRE celebrates its contributions to India’s energy transition by inviting these citizens and showcasing the tableau. It represents the country’s commitment to clean, affordable energy for all.
This is a proud moment for India, as it highlights the nation’s progress in building a greener and more sustainable future at none other than the 76th Republic Parade, which will be witnessed by world leaders.
