Heat Crisis and many more climate changes leading to impact on people living in the country. These changes are the result of major global warming.
A recent survey was conducted which reported that approximately 85% of people in India experience the effects of climate changes, and extreme weather events like heat waves, droughts, floods, etc.
More than sixty-one percent of people think that India should shift to renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels. The majority of people living here don’t receive clean water to drink. Thirty-four percent of individuals have suffered from major heat waves and have migrated from there multiple places.
According to the independent think tank Council on Energy, Environment and Water, it is reported that more than 80% of the country lives in an environment of severe weather problems.
Nowadays, heat waves are increasing so much that it has started impacting our renewable sources, majorly solar energy. When the temperature efficiency is so high then solar panels reduce their output by 25%. Solar cells absorb the majority of sunlight but some waves are unable to get absorbed and they lose power.
Rising temperatures also destroy our other renewable resources like Nuclear power plants and reduce their efficiency. Extreme drought services make a major impact on hydropower facilities.
