Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL)  collaborated with SJVN Ltd to establish a 460 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project, ensuring continuous power supply. This initiative will assist power distribution companies in meeting their Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPOs) and Energy Storage Obligations (ESOs). 

TPREL stated,” They would build a hybrid renewable energy plant to stand up for, the requirement of the 460 MW FDRE requirement, including significant capacities of solar, wind, and battery storage components”. Further, they also concluded that this plant ensures efficient energy distribution during peak hours, ensuring grid stability. 

This collaboration, ensures that  TPREL will be deploying sustainable energy solutions, which will play an important role in contributing to SJVN Ltd.’s green energy goals,” stated Deepesh Nanda, CEO and Managing Director of TPREL.

Moreover, TPREL’s total renewable capacity stands up at  9,421 MW (with a PPA capacity of 7,978 MW), which includes 4,906 MW from projects in different implementation stages. He stated, “The company’s operational capacity was 4,515 MW, comprising 3,485 MW of solar power.”.
