Inox Wind has formed a partnership with KP Energy to build 2.5 GW of wind-solar hybrid projects in different states across India.
Under the agreement, Inox Wind and its subsidiaries will take care of supplying wind turbine generators, key equipment, and offering full engineering support, which includes designing the electrical systems, transformers, and turbine foundations. They will also handle everything from pre-commissioning to commissioning and long-term maintenance of the wind turbines.
On the other hand, KP Energy will focus on on-ground project development. This includes securing land, approvals, grid connectivity, and managing the entire EPC and balance-of-plant work required to bring these large projects to life.
According to Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO, Renewables at INOXGFL Group, the partnership brings together the best of both sides: Inox Wind’s manufacturing and engineering strength, paired with KP Energy’s deep project execution experience.
KP Energy’s MD, Faruk G Patel, said this partnership is an important step because it brings together KP Energy’s project development skills and Inox Wind’s strong technology.
Overall, this collaboration is helping the country set up large wind-solar hybrid projects faster and on a bigger scale.
