Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited issued a tender. They will now enter a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the
developers to bid on an over 8000 MW capacity solar project.
Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL) published a tender inviting bids to acquire 8000 MW of solar power projects in the state. RUVITL is acquiring solar power for binding with large-scale capacity, and then it is expected to get better figures due to the large-scale benefit.
The last date for submission of bidding is June 24, 2024. Further, the bids will be open on same day.
RUVITL will also join the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the developers who will be selected in ongoing bidding. Solar capacity will be developed in phases, increasing demand. At the end of the submission of all the bidders, the evaluation of the bidders will be done on an aggregate basis. The power will be supplied from solar plants set up in Rajasthan.
The developers joining the solar project must be associated with the State Transmission Utility, which supplies electricity to RUVITL. The bidder’s solar parks must be situated in Rajasthan.
