Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 is making headlines worldwide for setting the state government’s new vision of investment and collaborative opportunities. After the inauguration by PM Modi and a successful Day 1 of all the announcements on investments and MOUs by some of the big industry giants, we are providing you a sneak peek at Day 2 updates. 

The second day of the Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024 witnessed groundbreaking announcements and strategic partnerships for positioning Rajasthan as the hub of renewable energy and sustainable industrial growth.

Several industry leaders revealed their commitments to the state’s economic and green energy transformation, strengthening investor confidence in Rajasthan’s potential.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, admired the overwhelming response from global and national investors. He said, “Our state is set to become a beacon of industrial innovation and renewable energy. With MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore already signed, before the event even started the confidence of investors have shown in Rajasthan is unparalleled.”

The Avaada Group’s chairmen Vineet Mittal announced a landmark ₹1 lakh crore investment to establish Rajasthan as the world’s largest renewable energy hub. The initiative includes significant steps in green manufacturing, focusing on solar energy production and hydrogen projects. 

Another industry pioneer Tata Power will invest ₹1.2 lakh crore in Rajasthan for renewable energy, including solar, wind, and EV infrastructure. CEO Praveer Sinha told the plan to make Rajasthan a power surplus state, support India’s net-zero goals by 2070, and create 28,000 jobs. Their “Ghar Ghar Solar Initiative” already targets 10 lakh rooftop solar installations

Sumant Sinha, Chairman and CEO of ReNew, announced a 23 GW project in the pipeline and a 4,000 MW solar module manufacturing plant in Rajasthan.

Not only private sector are getting attracted by the summit but the government is also putting its efforts into encouraging investment. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi announced a 2,000 MW solar park in Rajasthan with 30% central assistance, to promote renewable energy efforts.

The summit has also attracted participation from various public sector enterprises, including HPCL and GAIL, which are showcasing their initiatives at the Rajasthan Global Business Expo. International delegations from countries such as Denmark and Japan are present, exploring investment opportunities in sectors like renewable energy, manufacturing, and tourism.

Day 2 finished on an optimistic note, with both government officials and business leaders confident in Rajasthan’s vision for the future. The state is ready to lead India’s transition into a cleaner, greener, and more industrially advanced economy. Stay tuned for Day 3.
