Ground Mounted Solar

A very well-known player in our Indian solar industry, Orb Energy has launched its first 35 MW (DC) solar park in Ariskere, Hassan District.  The solar park is extended up to 110 acres producing 5.24 crore units in a year. This initiative is contributing to reducing carbon emissions by approximately 45,000 tons. This enterprise is majorly set up for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

Orb Energy stated that they’ll be constructing solar parks all over India of approximately 400 MW by the end of ten years for SMEs. Project investment is almost 2000 crores.

In the middle of this financial year, the setup of the solar park will be completed. As 27MW has already planted over 90 acres of land. This innovation allows all the SMEs to purchase their plot in the park and own their solar sub-arrays within the park. This strategy is a big hit for the company.

SMEs are further getting facilities by offering them collateral – free in-house loans for 5 years to help them in owning their part of the solar park in an effective and cost-efficient way. Businesses acquiring their Orb Energy spaces will experience their electricity bills at half prices with rates of Rs 3.5 to 4 per unit as compared to current rates of Rs 8 to 9. This will benefit both the discoms and the enterprises.

Orb Energy has already started planning their second solar park to help all the SMEs possible.
