At the final session of RE-INVEST 2024, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar emphasized that renewable energy is no longer a choice but a requirement to combat climate change and ensure a livable planet.

At the valedictory session, he highlighted India’s ancient wisdom on environmental responsibility and its deep-rooted connection with Vedas and Upanishads.

Dhankar stressed that climate change is an urgent global challenge, and urged nations and individuals to take immediate action. Every person has a role in saving energy and supporting sustainability.

The vice president said, “Interest in RE is not optional, it is compulsion. We will have to take an interest in this because this concerns our existence. And therefore, RE-INVEST 2024 has the potential to be a powerful catalyst for action, an action that is the need of the hour.”

He praised India’s progress as a nation in renewable energy, especially its focus on green hydrogen, and pointed out that the country’s development sets a strong example for the world. Dhankhar also encouraged global leadership, particularly in the fight against climate change by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,

He added, “With its civilizational depth of 5,000 years, India has taken a lead in the fight against climate change. “Our knowledge about climate change emanates from our Vedas and Upanishads. And therefore, a change was initiated from this land.” 

India’s diversity, magnifies its sustainable development model, making it a guide for other nations. By embracing renewable energy and tackling climate change, India offers new opportunities for its youth and global harmony.

In conclusion, Dhankhar called for collective action from all countries and individuals to address climate change and protect our shared future.
