As the new year begins, here is a story of innovation and hope from Dhamtari district in Chhattisgarh, where technology and renewable energy reconstruct farming.

Farmer Raman Sahu now operates his solar pump remotely using a mobile app, thanks to the Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) initiative.

This innovation eliminates the need for farmers to be physically present to manage irrigation, saving time and increasing productivity.

The solar pump, installed under the Saur Sujla Yojana Phase-VII, features a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) that allows farmers to control it from anywhere with network access.

During a surprise inspection, CREDA CEO Rajesh Singh Rana recognized the significance of such innovations. He emphasized that these automated solar pumps not only save time but also empower farmers to focus on other essential tasks. He directed his team to promote this technology and educate more farmers about its benefits.

CREDA has introduced the Saur Samadhan mobile app. This app enables users to report operational issues with solar installations directly from their phones. It will make quick complaint resolution at district and headquarters levels, bringing efficiency and transparency to the process.

The agency is helping farmers to adopt modern practices while reducing their environmental impact by integrating technology with renewable energy.
