Under Operation Sadhbhavana, an innovative initiative, the indian army has distributed solar lights and power banks to 60 nomadic families from the Gujjar and Bakerwal communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
This initiative was executed in remote regions where access to electricity is limited or completely unavailable. The operation aims to improve the quality of life for these Underprivileged communities.
The solar lights provide a stable light supply. That is good for safety and convenience during the night. For nomadic groups who frequently travel through high-altitude meadows and forests, these portable lights help keep their camps bright wherever they stop.
The power banks are helpful too, as they allow people to charge their phones and stay connected with their families while they travel.
Lt Col Suneel Bartwal, the Indian Army’s spokesperson, said that this support not only helps in daily life but also builds a stronger bond between the Army and the local people.
This kind of help shows that the Indian Army is not only focused on protecting the country but also on supporting and improving the lives of people. The Army is helping improve lives in some of the country’s underserved, remote areas.
