Lohia Machinery Turns to Rooftop Solar: Saves Millions Every Year

Lohia Corp has taken a big step toward green energy by installing rooftop solar panels at its factories. The company expects to save nearly ₹28 million every year on power costs through this move.

Lohia has commissioned a 2 MW rooftop solar project at its Chaubepur plant and another 775 kW system at its Panki plant. Together, these solar systems will generate a large amount of electricity each month. They are meeting about 10% of the company’s overall energy needs.

The investment at the Chaubepur facility alone is around ₹54 million, which is expected to bring annual savings of ₹20 million. Meanwhile, the Panki plant’s rooftop system is expected to save about ₹8 million per year. Altogether, the company will cut its yearly electricity costs by ₹28 million and will depend less on grid power.

The rooftop solar systems use good-quality panels and inverters to make sure they work well without problems. With this step, Lohia is saving money and also cutting down its carbon emissions.

This move also shows a big trend in India, where more and more manufacturers are choosing solar power to reduce costs and promote eco-friendly practices. As electricity prices keep rising and the need to protect the environment grows, such projects are proving to be both smart for business and good for society.

By embracing rooftop solar, Lohia Corp shows how businesses can combine cost savings with clean energy adoption, setting an example for other industries in the country.
