Wavja, a New York-based company, has introduced a revolutionary development. The company has presented a new and different method, instead of the usual solar panels or wind turbines, to produce energy.
In this technique, Wavja has introduced its third-generation Photon Energy System (PES), which is built around tiny photonic spheres. The technology can produce over 60 times more energy than regular solar panels of the same size, which makes it more powerful and useful in many ways.
These spheres capture photons from both natural sunlight and artificial light sources such as LEDs, converting them into high-intensity light. This energy is changed into electricity using a silicon conductor module, but the exact details of how it works are confidential.
The difference from traditional solar panels is that they depend on sunlight and on climate conditions. PES functions in many conditions, like an indoor system, can work up to eight hours a day regardless of weather or any other factors.
Co-founder Shereen Chen highlighted that the third-generation PES is about 30 times smaller and over 200 times more efficient than standard solar panels.
The system’s performance is also increased with each generation, from producing 7.5 times more energy than solar panels in the first version, to 20 times more in the second, and now over 60 times more in the third version.
Wavja aims to reach 100 times the efficiency in the next version. The PES system is designed for versatile use.
Wavja is developing three classes of photonic sphere arrays. First 3cm spheres for mobile applications like drones and electric vehicles. A 6cm sphere for homes, public transport, and yachts; and 10cm spheres for large-scale industrial use, including factories and desalination plants.
One exciting application includes an AI-powered firefighting drone for forest patrols. Even Wavja’s new system sounds promising, but some people are doubtful because there’s no proof from independent sources yet.
Experts say big claims like this need strong evidence. Still, if the Photon Energy System works as the company says, it could completely change the way the world produces and uses clean energy.
