Vikram Solar, one of India’s biggest solar panel makers, has partnered with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

As part of this deal, Vikram Solar’s logo will be on the KKR team jerseys. The company wants to use cricket’s popularity to spread awareness about solar energy and encourage people to choose clean energy.

Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, said that this partnership is special because both Vikram Solar and KKR have deep roots in Kolkata. He believes this collaboration will help more people learn about solar power and adopt it for a better future.

“Through this association, we want to inspire people and businesses to use solar energy. This will help build a greener and more sustainable tomorrow,” he said.

KKR’s Commitment to Sustainability

Venky Mysore, CEO of Kolkata Knight Riders, also spoke about the partnership. He said cricket has the power to connect with millions of fans, and this deal will help spread awareness about renewable energy.

“This partnership is not just about the game. It is about using our platform to bring positive change and promote clean energy solutions,” he added.

More Sponsorships and IPL 2025 Schedule

Along with Vikram Solar, KKR has also partnered with RR Kabel and SIX5SIX for the 2025 IPL season.

KKR, the three-time IPL champions, will start their campaign against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on March 22 at Eden Gardens. The stadium will host nine matches this season, including Qualifier 2 and the Final.

This partnership shows how sports and businesses can work together to support environmental goals. Vikram Solar hopes this collaboration will make solar energy a bigger part of India’s growth story.
