Renewable energy company SAEL Industries has commissioned its first solar power project in Rajasthan, with a capacity of about 300 MW, located in Jalore district and spread over 1,000 acres. The project, developed through its subsidiary Sunfree Energy RJP1 Pvt Ltd, has a capacity of 200 MW (AC) and 298 MW (DC).

SAEL signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd (RUVITL) on February 20, 2024, at a tariff of ₹2.61 per kWh. The project was commissioned on August 17, 2025, ahead of its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD), allowing early transmission and additional supply of power within the state.

The company highlighted that the project uses advanced TOPCon Solar PV modules with 146 and 156 cells, offering peak outputs of up to 635 WP and efficiencies of up to 22.95%. Its location enables seamless transmission connectivity and grid integration, while reducing transmission losses.

SAEL said this project is particularly important because it is the largest solar power project developed by the company that is connected to a State Transmission Utility. Notably, over 80% of the solar modules installed at the site were manufactured at SAEL’s own solar module facility in Kishangarh, Rajasthan.
