A dynamic solar storm is leaving critical impressions on Earth’s structure, as stated by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) .
Over two decades, NOAA warned about this serious incoming geomatic storm. This is a major threat to our planet.
NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) has observed a series of sun solar flares. Solar flares are some unexpected bursts of radiation that are released from the sun’s surface. These storms can harm electricity grids and satellites. It spreads hot air all over the surface. This is mostly seen where magnetic energy is strong.
Popular opinion says that solar storms will create a positive impact on solar energy by giving them an extra boost of energy but this is exactly the opposite, this can potentially impact solar panels. The intense shocks present in Solar flares are so strong that they can disrupt electronic systems, even solar panels and their special chips inserted in them.
However, the risk of damaging the solar panels is a bit less because firstly storms should be intense to harm and secondly most of the particles that can damage are absorbed by the atmosphere and earth’s magnetic field. There are some features in panels like bypass diodes which help individual cells to not overheat or burst.
