A major three-day event for renewable energy enthusiasts, Bharat Solar Expo 2025 started on January 17, 2025, at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC).
The event was inaugurated by Shri Om Birla, Honorable Speaker of the Lok Sabha, with many important leaders present. Shri Heeralal Nagar, Minister of State for Energy, and Dr. Somya Gurjar, Mayor of Jaipur Nagar Nigam (Greater), also attended the ceremony.
The expo is organized by FirstView and the Rajasthan Solar Association, with SolarQuarter as its partner.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Om Birla said Rajasthan will lead the way in solar energy in the coming years, and shares worth Rs. 28 lac crore MOU have been signed only in the solar sector.
One of the highlights of the expo is Etrica Power, a company known for its solar panels and inverter solutions. They are showcasing their latest technologies at the event. Etrica provides innovative solutions for solar energy requirements, helping people reduce their reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
Shri Heeralal Nagar also announced a new government plan under the Kusum A scheme. The central government has allocated an additional 5,000 MW of solar energy for farmers in Rajasthan. This initiative will allow farmers to access solar power at affordable prices, promoting clean energy use in agriculture.
The Bharat Solar Expo 2025 is expected to be a great platform for collaboration and innovation in the renewable energy sector, helping India move closer to a sustainable future. Industry leaders and visitors will explore advanced technologies and new opportunities in the field of clean energy.
