It has been a landmark week for Goldi Solar, one of India’s fastest-growing solar manufacturers. Just days after securing a ₹137.5 crore investment from Zerodha Co-founder Nikhil Kamath, the company has now unveiled the world’s largest solar PV module to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At its manufacturing unit in Kosamba, Gujarat, Goldi Solar presented the NaMo Saur Samrat, a record-breaking solar module measuring 75 inches by 150 inches, symbolic of the Prime Minister’s 75th year. With a capacity of 1750 Wp and powered by TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) technology, the module minimizes energy loss and sets a new global benchmark for efficiency and size.
The company described it as not just a solar panel but a manufacturing marvel that embodies India’s ambition and self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
The announcement comes soon after Nikhil Kamath’s strategic investment of ₹137.5 crore, which will further boost Goldi Solar’s expansion.
Goldi Solar was Founded in 2011 by Capt. Ishver Dholakia. Goldi Solar has been growing steadily, reaching a production capacity of 14.7 GW. The company earned ₹1,756.36 crore in revenue and ₹59.38 crore in profit in 2023-2024. The company also plans to build a 1 GW solar park by 2025–26, which will further strengthen its position as a leader in the solar industry.
Speaking at the unveiling, Capt. Dholakia said: “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is advancing decisively towards sustainability, having already achieved more than half of its 2030 target of 500 GW renewable capacity. The NaMo Saur Samrat shows India’s self-reliance and sets a new global standard in solar innovation. It is our special tribute to the Prime Minister. With the support of forward-looking investors, we are committed to creating a greener India that will provide clean energy for future generations.”
