Going Solar in Rajasthan? The State Just Made It More Profitable Than Ever for Homeowners

by | Nov 4, 2025 | News | 0 comments

Rajasthan has once again taken a major step toward promoting clean energy. In a move that’s bringing smiles to thousands of solar users across the state, the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) rates for domestic rooftop solar consumers have been increased, allowing homeowners to earn more from the surplus power they send back to the grid.

According to the latest revision:

  • The Net Metering tariff has been increased from ₹2.71 to ₹3.26 per unit.
  • The Net Billing tariff has been increased from ₹3.04 to ₹3.65 per unit.

This change means that families who generate extra solar power will now earn more money for it, making rooftop solar panels more helpful and affordable.

The new rates will encourage more people in Rajasthan to install solar panels and help the state use more clean energy. With electricity costs increasing, this move will help many homes save money while also caring for the environment.

Rajasthan has always been one of India’s leading states in solar energy. From big solar parks to rooftop systems in homes and offices, the state has made strong progress in renewable power. The revised tariff will make this progress even stronger and bring Rajasthan closer to becoming self-reliant in energy.

Experts say this update will not only motivate more families to go solar but also increase investor confidence in Rajasthan’s renewable energy sector.
