KPI Green Energy has announced that it has signed contract agreements worth ₹696.50 crore with SJVN Ltd, a government-owned company, to develop a 200 MW (AC) solar power project at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat. The company says this is a major boost to its fast-growing portfolio of large renewable energy projects.
Under this agreement, KPI Green will handle the entire project from start to finish. KPI Green will provide all the equipment needed for the project and will handle all the construction work, including building structures and doing civil and architectural tasks.
They will also take care of unloading and storing the equipment safely at the site. The company will test the system after everything is installed. To make sure it works properly and show its performance before officially handing it over.
Importantly, KPI Green will also manage three years of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) after the project begins commercial operations. This covers the upkeep of the plant, spares, and consumables.
The deal is split into three separate contracts: a Supply Contract, an EPC Contract, and an O&M Contract, together giving KPI Green full responsibility over the project’s construction and early operation.
Chairman and Managing Director Faruk G. Patel said that signing this major agreement with a top government enterprise proves KPI Green’s credibility and capability in delivering large-scale renewable projects.
