Here it is—another revolutionary product based on solar energy.

Paytm, a popular payment platform, has launched a unique device for small shopkeepers and vendors. The new Paytm Solar Soundbox is a smart payment speaker with solar power. It is specially made for small businesses, hawkers, and vendors who often face electricity shortages. This device helps them accept digital payments easily without worrying about charging it frequently.

Indian startups are doing some of the best innovations in their fields, and this is another great example. The Paytm Solar Soundbox comes with a solar panel on top that charges it automatically when placed under sunlight. It has two batteries—one that runs on solar energy and another that charges with electricity as a backup. Even if there is no sunlight, the second battery lasts up to 10 days on a single charge.

Paytm claims that keeping the device in the sun for just 2-3 hours is enough for it to work all day. This makes it an eco-friendly and cost-saving option for merchants, especially those in remote areas.

The Paytm Solar Soundbox comes with a built-in QR code that allows customers to make UPI and Rupay credit card payments easily. It also has 4G connectivity, which ensures that payments are processed smoothly.

One of its best features is its 3W speaker, which provides instant audio notifications when a payment is received. Merchants can choose from 11 different languages, making it easy to use for people from different regions.

Many small shopkeepers and street vendors in India still struggle with regular electricity supply. This solar-powered soundbox is designed to solve that problem. Whether it’s a fruit seller on the roadside or a tea stall in a remote village, everyone can now accept digital payments without worrying about charging their device daily.

Pankaj Chaudhary, the Minister of State for Finance, praised this launch, saying it is a great step towards helping small businesses while also promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Paytm has been continuously working on new features to improve digital payments. Last year, the company launched the Paytm NFC Card Soundbox, which allows tap-and-pay payments using debit and credit cards. It also introduced a new feature in its app that lets users download their UPI transaction history, making it easier to track expenses.

With the launch of the Solar Soundbox, Paytm is not just improving digital payments but also encouraging the use of clean and green energy. This device is expected to make a big difference in the way small businesses handle cashless transactions in India.
