The much-anticipated Vayve Eva, India’s first solar-powered electric car, has finally been launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Eva marks a big step towards eco-friendly urban mobility priced at an introductory Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
This premium 2-seater city car comes with a solar roof that can provide up to 3,000 km of free annual charging, making it a perfect solution for daily city commutes. It offers a real range of 250 km per charge and has a running cost of just Rs 0.5 per kilometer, far cheaper than petrol cars.
Its design combines modern styling with functionality. The car features round LED headlights, a panoramic glass sunroof, and 13-inch aerodynamic wheels. Inside, it has a minimalist layout with dual digital displays, manual AC, and three seats, including a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat. Safety is taken care of with a driver’s airbag and 3-point seatbelts for passengers.
The car is available in three variants—Nova, Stella, and Vega, with prices ranging from Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 5.99 lakh. Customers can opt for a battery subscription plan, starting at Rs 2 per kilometer, which lowers the car’s initial cost.
Eva has a top speed of 70 km/h powered by solar panels and an electric motor and accelerates from 0-40 km/h in just 5 seconds. The solar roof and advanced battery technology are the results of years of research by Vayve Mobility.
Vayve Mobility CEO Nilesh Bajaj said, “Eva is our answer to climate change, urban pollution, and energy reliance. It offers a sustainable and cost-effective way to drive in cities.”
With its innovative solar integration and electric efficiency, Vayve Eva is expected to revolutionize the future of mobility in India.
