Adani Wind, the wind turbine division of Adani New Industries Ltd., has secured new orders totaling 304 megawatts from independent power producers in India. The orders are for Adani’s 3.3 MW turbine model, which will be installed across projects in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Each megawatt of wind capacity costs about ₹6 crore, putting the total value of these orders at nearly ₹18,200 crore. While the company did not disclose the exact figure, these contracts show a big push towards India’s green energy push.
India aims to reach 500 GW of green power by 2030, and in this, wind energy is expected to contribute 100 GW.
The company, Founded in 2016, plans to supply up to 1.25 GW of turbines annually by FY 2026.
They recently shipped their first blades to Germany and are now its sights on global expansion, exploring opportunities in Australia, Brazil, the Philippines, Vietnam, and across Southeast Asia
In India, Adani’s orders include 165 MW from Fourth Partner Energy Pvt. and 69.3 MW each from First Energy and Opera Energy Pvt.
This momentum comes as Adani Green Energy Ltd., part of the group, is also building the world’s largest renewable energy plant of 30 GW at Khavda in Gujarat.
With growing international demand, Adani Wind is positioning itself as a strong global player in the renewable energy sector.
