Avaada Group has signed an agreement with the Gujarat government to invest ₹36,000 crore in renewable energy projects across the state. This big investment shows Avaada’s effort to support India’s clean energy goals and help Gujarat become a major hub for green power.
Under this plan, Avaada will set up 5 GW of solar power, 1 GW of wind power, and 5 GWh of battery storage systems in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar districts. These areas are perfect for renewable energy because they have large open lands and good weather conditions.
The projects are planned to be completed between 2027 and 2030. They will help cut down pollution and make Gujarat more self-reliant in energy.
Avaada already operates solar plants in Gujarat. It includes a 280 MW project in Surendranagar and a 100 MW plant in Vadodara.
In this, the battery storage systems will help keep the power supply smooth, even when there is not sufficient sunlight or wind.
These projects will also create many jobs. In which over 1,000 direct, 2,000 indirect, and around 5,000 will be employed during the construction phase. This investment will improve Gujarat’s green growth and encourage more private companies to invest in renewable energy.
