Barabanki to Host Uttar Pradesh’s First Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant

Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh will soon become the first place in the state to have a solar panel factory. A company called True Power Limited has started building a new plant in Bahrauli village, under the Kursi police station area.

This factory is being built with an investment of about ₹100 crore and will make solar panels that can generate up to one gigawatt of electricity every year.

The construction of the factory began after a ₹70 crore agreement was signed last month. A traditional “bhoomi pujan” ceremony was held to mark the start, where prayers were offered to local gods and workers were honored.

The project is expected to create 250 to 300 jobs for local people. The land for the factory has already been bought, and True Power’s top officials, Chairperson Captain Rajesh Kumar Tiwari and Managing Director Hariom Tiwari, attended the launch event.

This new project adds to True Power’s earlier ₹40 crore investment in Barabanki and supports the company’s current network of 28 branches and four factories across India. It is being done with help from the Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Department and Invest UP, showing that the state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is supporting the project.

The company also expects the government to provide basic needs like electricity and a 900-meter road to connect the factory.

This announcement improves the Barabanki industrial profile and provides employment, and this project is definitely going to support Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy goals.
