by | Mar 6, 2025 | News | 0 comments

Goldi Solar is one of India’s top solar companies. It was founded in 2011 and is based in Surat, Gujarat. The company manufactures high-quality solar panels and provides Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services. Goldi Solar has three large facilities in Pipodara, Navsari, and Kosamba, with a planned production capacity of 14 GW. The company exports solar products to over 20 countries, making India a key player in the global solar market.

India’s First AI-Powered Solar Manufacturing Facility

Goldi Solar has now achieved a major milestone by launching India’s first AI-powered solar manufacturing facility in Kosamba, Surat. This facility will make solar panel production faster, more efficient, and highly accurate.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the plant and praised Goldi Solar for leading India’s clean energy transformation. He said that this new technology will strengthen India’s solar industry and support the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision.

How AI is Changing Solar Manufacturing

Goldi Solar’s AI-powered systems are designed to make solar panel production more precise and reliable. The factory uses:

  • High-speed AI stringers that can produce 10,000 solar cells per hour, reducing errors and material wastage.
  • Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems that use computer vision to detect defects at a microscopic level, ensuring the highest quality.
  • AI-driven EL and visual inspection systems to check every panel carefully before it reaches the market.
  • An advanced EVA laying robot that places encapsulation layers with minimum human intervention, making the process more consistent.

A Big Step for India’s Clean Energy Future

Goldi Solar’s 14 GW AI-powered facility is expected to boost India’s solar industry and create more jobs. Ishver Dholakiya, Founder and Managing Director of Goldi Solar, said that AI will help improve production quality and increase exports. He added that this achievement reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and a net-zero future.
