InSolare Energy Limited (IEL), a renewable energy company based in India, has teamed up with US-based Versogen Inc., which is known for its AEM technology. In this collaboration, the two companies will jointly develop and manufacture advanced electrolyser solutions to accelerate the growth of India’s fast-expanding green hydrogen sector.
This deal also represents an important stride for InSolare Energy in its foray into newer clean energy technologies and deepens its presence in the green hydrogen market. By combining Versogen’s AEM technology with the experience of Insolare in executing projects in India, it hopes to make green hydrogen production cheaper and easier to scale.
Under the pact, InSolare Energy will be granted a license for using AEM stack technology and intellectual property from Versogen.
The company will also receive technical knowledge, materials, and design support needed to manufacture AEM stacks in India.
Versogen will provide technical support, advanced materials, and guidance to help speed up the development of high-performance electrolyser systems.
As part of this partnership, InSolare Energy plans to build an AEM electrolyser manufacturing facility in India. The plant will start with a capacity of 250–300 MW and may later expand to 1 GW. It will meet the demand for electrolysers in India and also supply selected international markets.
The partnership also supports India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to make the country a global center for green hydrogen production, usage, and export. Manufacturing electrolysers in India and using latest AEM technology can also help to bring the cost down.
