According to the data provided by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has shown up with two states, Maharashtra and Gujarat, have shown remarkable progress in developing renewable energy and have secured funding for their projects.
The MNRE has played a crucial role in supporting state-level renewable energy initiatives through Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under many government schemes.
In the years between 2014-15 and 2023-24, MNRE has spent over states to boost renewable energy projects. Maharashtra has received Rs 1656.15 crore whereas Gujarat has received Rs 4490.24 crore.
However, the ministry does not record funds data according to specific cities.
The Ministry of Coal has announced plans to establish two Green Ammonia Plants in Madhya Pradesh, the chosen sites are within the Johilla area of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and the Pench area of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).
These Green Ammonia Plants were installed to boost sustainable energy solutions and contribute to India’s target of increasing its green energy future.
In addition, the partnership between government and private sectors highlights India’s strong commitment to a greener and renewable future.
